Conference & Workshops
International efforts in sustainable development have improved lives around the world, yet societies continue to face increasingly complex challenges, including environmental pressures, inequality, discrimination and armed conflict. These challenges can undermine social cohesion, weaken institutions and make peaceful and inclusive development more difficult to achieve.
Political, economic, social and environmental pressures can also deepen instability and increase the risk of conflict, particularly in communities already facing fragile conditions. Addressing these challenges requires informed dialogue, careful analysis and practical approaches that respond to their underlying causes.
Through its Conferences and Workshops Program, Tawakkol Karman Foundation brings together researchers, academics, experts and practitioners to examine pressing issues related to sustainable development, peacebuilding and human rights. Participants present research and perspectives, analyze the contexts behind major challenges, and explore policies, tools and practices that can contribute to more effective and sustainable solutions.
