TKF, in cooperation with local and international partners, is aspiring to achieve these values through which freedoms, human rights and human dignity will be protected, as well as aspiring to end armed conflicts and mitigate their consequences, establish peace, stability and decent life conditions.
Mission
Tawakkol Karman Foundation is an endowment institution that works in development and peace-building through the development of local communities, education, health and economic empowerment, and the empowerment of women to assume a leading role in their communities.
The Foundation promotes and defends democracy, and good governance and disseminates the culture of respect for human rights, considering these elements as essential factors for sustainable development and peacemaking. The Foundation founded by the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate: Tawakkol Karman
Development
Transiting societies towards a better future cannot be achieved without addressing their weaknesses in the various sectors of education, health, and economy. Tawakkol Karman Foundation is interested in mobilizing resources and efforts to advance comprehensive development reaching prosperous and stable societies.
Democracy and Peacebuilding
"Violence resulting from all forms of conflicts, negatively affects individuals and societies. Armed conflicts in several countries in the world, especially in the Middle East, leads to the loss of many lives, displacing them, violating the rule of law, and nullifying their right to live in security, freedom, and dignity. These destructive effects necessitate work on intensive programs that establish real and sustainable peace for all people".
